Fees Policy

Purpose

To ensure that the Golden Grove Cricket Club (GGCC) Management Committee provide clear information in relation to members’ subscriptions to all Club members.

Scope

This policy applies to all junior and senior players involved with Golden Grove Cricket Club (“the Club”).

Players who are recruited to play in the senior T20 competition, from District clubs, may be considered as Honorary Members subject to Management Committee approval.

Subscription (Subs) Structure

The Golden Grove Cricket Club will ensure that the subscription structure complies with the Club’s Constitution. An emphasis will be placed on minimising costs to members whilst ensuring that the costs of the Club are met (e.g. purchase of balls, equipment, curator payments, presentation costs, oval hire fees and clubroom hire fees).

The GGCC Management Committee shall advise the upcoming season’s structure to be ratified at the AGM prior to the season commencing.

Levies may be introduced from time to time and will be included in the overall amount; this will be determined by the Club.

For seniors (over 16 years of age as at 1 July of the current season)

  • Players are expected to pay the applicable rate and abide by the due date nominated for full payment of subs.

  • At the discretion of the Management Committee, players who may be considered “casual” players – those who may not be able to commit to playing each week – are expected to pay the applicable rate and MUST not owe more than $50 in subs. The total subs paid will be capped at the standard rate applicable for the player.

Players who are studying full time may be eligible for a discounted rate.

Playing Life Members of Golden Grove Cricket Club may be eligible for a discounted rate.

  • For Juniors the structure will be broken down by ‘age groups’

  • Those teams playing in ATCA competition.

  • Those teams playing in NEJCA competition.

The age cut-off date is at the discretion of the relevant association.

Players who are playing in these teams are expected to pay the applicable rate and abide by the due date nominated for full payment of subs.

Junior players who fill-in for senior teams will have no additional subs payable.

ALL Junior players will need to register via PlayHQ – ensure that sports voucher is used at this time. There will be a Cricket Australia component to pay (this does not come to the Club).

The table below will provide an illustration of structure:

Late Payment or non-payment of Subscriptions (subs)

No player will be selected for a finals series unless all subs have been paid in full.

Any player who has outstanding subs at the end of the season will not be eligible for any award, trophy or recognition at the end of season presentation event.

Any player who has outstanding subs at the end of the season will not be allowed to play in the following season until the debt has been paid in full.
