The George Eden Trophy
Introduction
Inaugurated in 2008/09, this award is named after George Eden – Life Member and former Chairperson. Prior to this, George would pull money out of his own pocket to present to people he believed were worthy of recognition. The award recognises outstanding contribution to the Club off of the field.
Previous winners of the award have included coaches, Junior coordinators, committee members, curators and for fundraising deeds. The award is to recognise people who have gone above and beyond what could be expected of their role or to people who have taken on unenviable roles and performed them admirably and in doing so have contributed to the overall success of the Club.
