Heat Policy - Training

The Golden Grove Cricket Club (‘the Club”) has adopted the following heat policy for training.

Seniors

If the forecast temperature for the training day on the Bureau of Meteorology (“BOM”) App at Golden Grove at 3:30pm is 38 or 39 degrees Celsius all training sessions are OPTIONAL for players and officials.

If the forecast temperature for the training day on the BOM App at Golden Grove at 3:30pm is 40 degrees Celsius or above all training sessions are CANCELLED for players and officials.

The clubroom will be open most nights of training, subject to availability.

Under 18 and Under 16

If the forecast temperature for the training day on the BOM App at Golden Grove at 3:30pm is 38 degrees Celsius or above all training sessions are CANCELLED.

Under 14, Under 12 and Under 10

If the forecast temperature for the training day on the BOM App at Golden Grove at 3:30pm is 36 degrees Celsius or above all training sessions are CANCELLED.

If the actual temperature on the BOM App at Golden Grove reaches 36 degrees Celsius during the training session, the session will be immediately cancelled.

PLEASE NOTE

The above ages refer to the age of the player, NOT the age group of the team.

For example, a 13-year-old training with an U16 team is subject to the U14 training conditions.
